“CHEESE!!!” The first thing I notice about a person is their smile! (Ad) That’s why it’s so important to me to help my kids have healthy teeth. Recently, my son got braces at @surfside_kids and we have been sharing our journey on social media. Today on the blog, I walk you through how we picked our orthodontist and the first few steps of getting braces. Check it out on www.ashleynewell.me – linked in bio. There’s even a video on the post so you can see the process. In perfect honesty, this is one of partnerships I’m most excited about! Everyone needs dental care and if I can help you guys, my kids, and Surfside at the same time, it’s dream come true! I will try to get an IG Story highlight up soon tracking our braces journey. . . . #surfside #surfsidedental #elkgrove #sacramento #inelkgrove #elkgroveblogger #momoftweens #tweenmom #sacramentomoms #momsofsacramento #norcalmom #mommyblogger #momblogger #sacramentoblogger #sacblogger #lovethiskid #momswhoblog #momlifebelike #mysacramento #916 #visitsacramento #visitsac #braces #sacramento365 #sacramentoproud #orthodontist #sacramentodentist #sacramentoorthodontist #nationalorthodontichealthmonth

Check out this video as Ashley and her Surfsider daughter takes us through a quick tutorial on how to create this Halloween teeth snack.

We opted to use SunButter sunflower butter for this recipe in lieu of most schools not allowing nut-products due to allergies. You may substitute SunButter sunflower butter with almond butter or peanut butter, whichever is best for your family’s nutritional needs.

Halloween Teeth Recipe Ingredients:

2 Red Apples (1 apple makes approx 6 sets of teeth)

Approx 1 cup – Mini marshmallows

Approx 1 cup – of SunButter sunflower butter

Directions:

  1. Slice the apples into thin wedges

  2. Smear SunButter sunflower butter onto two apple wedges

  3. Place mini marshmallows on one apple wedge with SunButter sunflower butter for teeth

  4. Prop the other apple wedge with SunButter sunflower butter on top of the apple with marshmallows.

  5. Repeat & Enjoy
