What is your financial policy?
Payment for professional services is due at the time of service. Every effort will be made to provide a treatment plan which was verified with your insurance, (if applicable) and a financial agreement for private paying patients will be discussed. We accept cash, personal checks, debit cards, and most major credit cards.
Can I stay with my child during their visit?
Here at Surfside Kids Dental, we have an open door policy. You are absolutely welcome to stay with your child during all aspects of each and every visit. We want children as well as parents to be as comfortable as possible with appointments and welcome you to stay with your child.
Can I take a photo or video of my child at their appointment?
While we appreciate your enthusiasm to capture your child’s fun dental visit, due to HIPAA Privacy Laws and Regulations all photos and videos are requested to be taken in our designated photo zones and not while your child is in the dental chair. Please ask a team member for more information when visiting the office.
How are appointments made?
Surfside Kids Dental does our best to schedule appointments which are most convenient for you and when the time is available. Our younger patients should be seen in the morning because they are more refreshed and our team can take as much time as needed for your child’s comfort. School children with a lot of work to complete should be seen also in the morning for the same reasons. Dental appointments are an excused absence and Surfside Kids Dental will be more than happy to send a letter with you for either work or school needs.
What if I need to reschedule my appointment?
Since appointments are reserved exclusively for each patient, we ask that you please notify our office at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment time if you are unable to keep your appointment. Missed appointments are unused times that another patient who needs our care could have scheduled their treatment. We do understand that unexpected events can happen, and ask for your help in minimizing missed appointments.
Can a relative/caregiver bring my child to their appointment?
You are welcome to have a relative or caregiver bring your child to their appointment, we ask that you complete and submit our consent form prior to your appointment scheduled.
