Our Office Policies
What is your financial policy?
Payment for professional services is due at the time of service. Every effort will be made to provide a treatment plan which was verified with your insurance, (if applicable) and a financial agreement for private paying patients will be discussed. We accept cash, personal checks, debit cards, and most major credit cards.
Can I stay with my child during their visit?
Here at Surfside Kids Dental, we have an open door policy. You are absolutely welcome to stay with your child during all aspects of each and every visit. We want children as well as parents to be as comfortable as possible with appointments and welcome you to stay with your child.
Can I take a photo or video of my child at their appointment?
While we appreciate your enthusiasm to capture your child’s fun dental visit, due to HIPAA Privacy Laws and Regulations all photos and videos are requested to be taken in our designated photo zones and not while your child is in the dental chair. Please ask a team member for more information when visiting the office.
How are appointments made?
Surfside Kids Dental does our best to schedule appointments which are most convenient for you and when the time is available. Our younger patients should be seen in the morning because they are more refreshed and our team can take as much time as needed for your child’s comfort. School children with a lot of work to complete should be seen also in the morning for the same reasons. Dental appointments are an excused absence and Surfside Kids Dental will be more than happy to send a letter with you for either work or school needs.
What if I need to reschedule my appointment?
Since appointments are reserved exclusively for each patient, we ask that you please notify our office at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment time if you are unable to keep your appointment. Missed appointments are unused times that another patient who needs our care could have scheduled their treatment. We do understand that unexpected events can happen, and ask for your help in minimizing missed appointments.
Can a relative/caregiver bring my child to their appointment?
You are welcome to have a relative or caregiver bring your child to their appointment, we ask that you complete and submit our consent form prior to your appointment scheduled.

Following your consultation, our treatment coordinator will tailor and discuss a cost estimate for your unique treatment plan including your estimated insurance credit and curate a financial plan to fit your needs. I’ve taken my nephews here before and it’s a wonderful place to take kids to if you live in Elk Grove! The office is wonderful and has so many different things for kids to do while they wait. The staff is extremely helpful and kind as well. Taking kids to the dentist can always be a rough time but Surfside made the experience as enjoyable as possible. Couldn’t recommend them more!

My son loves Surfside! They make the entire experience easy and fun for kids! Scheduling was super easy, we were taken back on time and the hygienist was warm and outgoing. My daughter loves going here. She is actually excited to go to the dentist because the people here are great. They have video games in the waiting room. They have movies for the kids to watch on the ceiling with headphones while they are in the chair. I will continue to take my daughter here.

They are amazing with my daughter. They make sure she is comfortable. The atmosphere is very kid friendly with toys in the waiting room and TV's above the chairs for them to watch while they are in the chair. The dentist talks to the kids every step of the way so they know what to expect and reassure them so they feel comfortable and less stressed.

We drive from Citrus Heights to Land Park to get dental care from Surfside. The office is beautiful inside with amenities for kids that make it feel more like a day at the beach than a trip to the dentist. Excellent treatment and gentle care for my nervous 4 year old. We love Surfside!!

I have been coming to the orthodontics area of this particular Surfside Kids Dental since I was 16 and might I say that all the staff has been such a big help. Virginia has seen that my teeth have gone from a zero to a ten in the short four years I have been here.
