Dr. Joe Rawlins DDS, MS grew up in a small town in New Mexico and graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelors degree in Biology. He attended dental school in Texas at Baylor College of Dentistry. Following dental school, he worked as an attending professor at Baylor College of Dentistry in the Department of Public Health. He also worked as a general dentist in the Dallas metroplex post dental school.

While working as a professor and in private practice, Dr. Rawlins found his passion working with children from all backgrounds. He returned to school and completed an additional 2 years of specialty residency training in pediatric dentistry at Ohio State University and Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. While at the Children’s Hospital, he focused on all aspects of children’s dentistry that included prevention, diagnosis, special needs patients, and all aspects of sedation dentistry in children.

During a visit with his brother, who is also a local dentist, Dr. Rawlins fell in love with California and decided to make it his home. He feels like the luckiest person in the world ending up in such a beautiful place to live, enjoy life, and raise his children. Dr. Rawlin’s hobbies include watching and coaching his children, traveling with friends and kids, basketball, golf, skiing, and fly fishing
